I sort of lied when I said I was finished with my zombie series. I’ve been working on the 4th installment for the past few days. I finished the outline and I like it so far, but I’m feeling a bit conflicted with some of the characters’ deaths.

I always feel guilty when I kill someone off.

…and, I have no idea what to title it yet.

Slacker.

Tomorrow, I’m buying ME3 from origin and will cheat on Steam…again. I also have Desura just for Project Zomboid. I really haven’t had the energy to do much of anything these past few weeks. Work has definitely kicked my butt, and being sick isn’t really helping much. Instead of hiring someone right away, they’ve taken some time for me to “learn” quicker. I’ve just been burned out that much quicker. Hmm…I should request vacation days.

I’ve been slacking off on my gaming, and I really need to get into playing again. I have been playing Katamari on Vita but I think I need the sleep deprivation that ME3 will offer me. Draw Something is taking up much of my time, since I linked my facebook account with it. I think I’ve got like 5 or 6 games going at once, and my drawing skills are becoming worse as the levels go higher. I have 2 games over 60 turns. I haven’t played much of Jetpack Joyride or Temple Run. Recently, I’ve started up reviewing iOS games for another website, Kokugamer.com. I had written for them in 2010 right before I joined the Blistered Thumbs staff. I’ve got 1 review done and 3 to go. 

Other than that, I’m planning on writing a new horror screenplay and hoping it’ll be written up by the end of the year. I’ve got a general idea of the story line, but still have to write up a time line for it. I also plan on fixing and rewriting my other screenplay. Both screenplays are/will be zombie-less…I know I’m neglecting my zombies. I still am thinking about continuing my eBook series, but I’m probably going to write up a something small to finish up the series. I think I’ve put the characters through enough hell.

So you think you could…

I got my new condenser mic and filter for the Darkcast and the rest of our household. I really don’t like sharing my tech equipment but….I suppose I have to. I’ve been thinking about doing gameplay vids and wanted to add commentary but my voice is a bit too monotone. I’m afraid it’ll most likely end up as a rant full of bad words at the end. My first issue is working on my voice and most of all, speaking. I was and still am a bad public speaker. I stutter, ramble, have an awkward silence problem and consistently forget what I’m saying half the time. Secondly, what game should I play? I’ve got a lot that I haven’t started and others I haven’t finished. Maybe Minecraft and Project Zomboid? Right now, it’s just an idea. Part of me thinks it’s bad but I really want to see how it goes.

Anyways, I’ve got a random question: would you really want a zombie attack to happen? No re-dos or respawns. Another one of our odd dinner conversations but my bf and I are pretty odd as it is. I don’t really want a zombie invasion, since the idea of one happening really freaks me out. I can play games and write about them, but I’d like to deal with the problems I already have right now. The argument to that was: zombies would become my main problem and the rest would go away.

Issues are issues, so I’m pretty sure they’d resurface once we were safe. I’d go back to being paranoid and well…now I’d be paranoid of being attacked by zombies. Same issues, different circumstances. You can’t always run away from your problems. 

Besides, I’d never live past the 1st week of the zombie invasion. Either I’d trip and fall then make you continue on without me, or I’d get chewed on for investigating a noise.

Alright…4 hours of working on this story already. I think it’s done? Maybe I need a 3rd book to go along with it? Hoping to have this up soon. I’ll post up the link once its done. :)

Work in progress

I’m attempting to work with a new idea on the sequel to my ebook, but it keeps stalling. I have a few pages handwritten but it just doesn’t sound right. I think I have to get used to the fact that all the zombie story lines have been done. Ugh…sorry huge brain lockup on my part. I just don’t want it to suck. Too much. I keep thinking it’ll be bad each time I start writing. I hope to be done by the end of summer :/

A work in progress.

I finally had a breakthrough in my writer’s block for the sequel of my zombie ebook. I’ve got a title, a beginning and 3 alternate endings…however, no middle part just yet. lol I keep coming up with alternate endings.

I keep running into the same thing each time I attempt to write the middle part: why does it sound like its already been done? Because it has. This type of story has been written and rewritten, adapted, edited, proofread, and scripted many times. How can I just make this not suck? Damn writer’s block is more like I’m afraid of repeating myself. The title I’ve got is The Fall of Hysteria.

Geek Achievement for Today.

During the interview, I had mentioned that I was a gamer and one of the interviewers had asked what game I’d suggest. I told her that Plants vs. Zombies is awesome on PC and iPhone, worth the money of an app to play on a mobile. FTW? I dunno. I had 3 teams of interviewers talk to me today, I had to get some geek points in. Anyways, I should find out by the end of this week or next. I was super nervous and could only talk about games lol
